Serious hat envy. I mean if I looked like cute in a hat I would be wearing it every where; the grocery store, the gym, picnics, lounging at home in my sweats…whatever.

This is Emma and she is totally adorable! I think we can all agree. 🙂

I always tell seniors 3 to 5 outfits are a good amount for your session. I also tell them they don’t need a complete outfit change to get a different look, sometimes it is just an added jacket or cardigan or scarf is just enough to keep a consistent look, but change it up. Good call Emma!
Thanks Emma! Congratulations on your graduation!

Tori was one of my first Class of 2018 seniors last year…so about a year ago to the date was her senior session. Which is right on track for this year, since I just had my first senior for the Class of 2019 just a couple days ago.

I hate to sound like a broken record, but if you are thinking about scheduling your senior session with me..or wait, any session like family, baby, kids….whatever, please don’t wait too long. You will want to book it to book it. Get it? Cheesy joke, I should have warned you.

As of today, July has two dates left, August has 5, September has 4 dates. I do about 5 to 6 sessions a week, so when they are booked up…they are booked. It is the limit that I can handle, being just little ol’ me shooting the session, editing the session, ordering the session, booking, emailing, marketing, social media, cleaning the equipment and my studio and not much of my house. 😉

So back to Tori!!!!

This is what it looks like when I ask you if you want to try a more serious look. First you smile like normal, attempt a serious face, crack yourself for about 2 minutes, then to pull it together for 2 seconds before you crack yet again. 🙂

Her cute sister came along to assist and pop in for a cute couple shots together. I love sisters. I don’t have a sister, but I have girls and I love their relationship. Those of  you with sisters are blessed with your built in bestie.

Congratulations Tori! Hope your senior year was awesome!

I love it when my clients opt for this package. Maternity and newborn sessions. Bun in and out of the oven. When momma Ivy contacted me she said she wanted to incorporate her current 🙂 little guy for a few images. When they showed up, I fell in love with little Hudson. Many kids are shy when they come into the studio, the usual reaction is their eyes are bright and looking around, I say “HI!” and they look for mom or dad and hide behind their leg for the first few minutes. When Hudson came in, he was looking down at his feet, I said “HI!” and he looked up at me with the biggest, cutest smile I have ever seen. I was smitten from the start.

I mean, how cute is this little momma?

I had no doubt Hudson would be a great big brother.

Then flash forward a few weeks. Mr. Porter has entered the world!

I mean, I saw his hint of red hair, and perfect little face and lips, I fell in love with him too!

And just like his smiley big brother! The biggest grin!

They are so in love with him…but check out big bro’s reaction. Totally sweet in every way.

And then this! I have a little wooden toy camera at the studio that kids love. But Hudson wanted to take his own photo of Porter. It really can’t get any cuter than that!

Momma and her boys.

It’s Spencer! I love that Spencer and his mom wanted to incorporate some sentiment to his senior session. He is a long time Boy Scout, earning the highest rank as Eagle Scout. That takes a lot of dedication, I know he and his family are so proud of.

They both requested to have some of his session done at the high school, there is a funny story behind this one and the rock boulder. If you know Spencer, you know the story…if you don’t, sorry but if I tell you, I will have to, well…..you know.

….be in trouble with his mom….what did you think I was gonna say?

Spencer grew up near Noonan Park, so this was another stop on the list of memory lane. Which is also close to my own heart and house. 🙂

Congratulations Spencer! I hope your senior year was awesome!

I just adore this family. I met them a few years ago when they had me take their photos for the first time. Back when they lived in the woods in a modern farm house with several chickens and a horse who actually was a dog. Now fast forward/rewind 😉  to last summer…so000000 much has changed. They sold their farm house and moved to the lake. They built a beautiful home with an amazing view, perfect for building memories.

Sun drenched goodness.

Lucy, Grace, McKenzy. The sweetest girls around.

High school sweethearts.

And now the big finale! The girls wanted to end their session with a jump off the dock, which I am always down for!

Miss Lucy, felt like another cannonball was in order since this was September and there likely wouldn’t be many dock jumping opportunities left. And well, the water isn’t exactly warm in the middle of September, so her dad found out. 🙂

In all the excitement of the dock jumping they forgot they wanted to include some ukulele playing. So, what is more perfect than a cute little, wet girl in her swimsuit playing a uke? It was as if it was meant to be.

As I said, I just think this family is great. Such a giving, fun, kind, positive, forwarding thinking, hilarious family. It doesn’t get much better than that. <3 I have loved watching this journey, it has been an honor to capture all the facets of your lives, and blessed to call you friends. I am thrilled for your futures.
