Hang on this is going to be a lot of images coming at you. Erin and her family decided to order a Keepsake Album of her senior session. A Keepsake Album is awesome for all sessions but perfect for senior sessions, because I am going to be honest….I take a lot of photos at senior sessions. I like you to have a variety to choose from. Mainly because I too like variety, but also in the hope you decide to invest in albums because I love them so much. You get to select 20-30 of your favs from your session and have them in a beautifully bound canvas covered album to use for a guest book at your grad party or just to have as a keepsake for years to come. It is perfect as you can take it to college with you, or it may come down to arm wrestle your mom and dad for it. Either way someone has it forever. 🙂

HERE is where you can see an example of a Keepsake Album as well as other products I offer.

A few of my favs from Erin’s session.

YAY! You did it Erin! You are sooooooooooo close to graduation you can taste it! Congratulations!

Hey…it’s Emalee!

Busy season for me is about to start, and I am trying to catch up on all the sessions to post from last year before that starts. And I am not getting very far. Slow season hasn’t been that slow…which is awesome! So many babies this spring.

Speaking of spring, it is my favorite. It sure took it’s sweet time in getting here. Can I get an amen? But one of my favorite things about spring how vibrant green everything is. And soon the fruit trees will be in bloom. I still have a few sessions available this month and into June if that is your favorite thing too.

Back to Emalee’s session. I had such a good time with her. So fun and chill! My favorite traits in people in general!

Believe it or not, Emalee’s session was taken in August, yet there was this crazy tree that was turning an amazing color so early. Of course we had to include this over achiever!!

Emalee told me she spends a lot of time on the lake, so of course we needed to include that too. Which for me, being around, in or on the water is my favorite place to be and the perfect way to end any day of work.

Congratulations on your graduation Emalee!

Thank you for choosing me for your senior photos!

This is Ben. And he golfs, a lot, as you will see it highlighted in his senior session. I have no doubt that he will do great things with his talent.

We started his session downtown knowing we would be hitting the greens later in the day when the wonderful, beautiful, late autumn light would be the best. And as I said before, last fall was one of the best I can remember. We did his session middle of October and it was just gorgeous, still some trees were hanging onto their leaves, but the warm temp felt like a beginning of September.

Thanks Ben for driving me all over beautiful Geneva Golf Club. I hope your senior year has been awesome and I know you are probably on the course somewhere after this long winter!

Living in a resort town we get many visitors from all over the place. Sometimes it is a middle destination for everyone to meet, and sometimes it is the draw of the lakes and small town get-away-ness people are looking for, and often times it has become a family tradition to come back to the same place because it is just that pleasant.

I get calls a lot from these families, for all of those reasons, since they are all in the same place to take photos to document this time together. With busy work, school, activity schedules it is really hard to get every member there. Believe me, sometimes I can’t even get my own family of 4 together! So when it happens that everyone clears the calendar, books the resort and airfare, and gasses up the car, in the effort to spend quality time together…. you should document it. Kids don’t stay the same size, and neither does your family size…additions of new babies, passing of loved ones. Circle of life, right? And why not do it when everyone is on “vacation mode”?

***Now I must say this: PLEASE don’t call me and say “We are in town THIS weekend. Can you take our family photos?” The answer sadly, will be a most likely, “no.” I book up months in advance, you need to call me the same time you are booking your trip. ***

Now…more from this incredibly blonde and adorable family. 🙂

Thank you so much! I enjoyed your family so much! I hope you had the best time in the Alexandria lakes area.

So cute, right?

This was the first time I met Greta, but I have known her mom for years. I have also done her little sisters’ pageant photos. I knew this session would be fun, because momma Becky is a blast and I always laugh A LOT when we get together. I still have memories of us in a really tippy kayak for two, which by the way should not be a thing. I mean I LOVE to kayak, but put two women who are laughing uncontrollably in an unstable floatable, potentially tip-able and sinkable watercraft…is no bueno. But it was funny!

We did Greta’s session in late October. In Minnesota that is a really iffy thing. But last fall was incredible. One of the best autumns I can remember, maybe that is why our winter sucked so bad it lasted into spring.

Model material. Totally.

She has a thing for crazy socks. I love it when seniors bring their things to their sessions. It really helps brings out their personalities.

Thanks Greta! And Becky!

I hope your senior year has been amazing!
